<h1>Nipples</h1><i>To accompany these high-end spokes we selected brass nipples for our Hunt 4Season wheels. Brass is strong and corrosion resistant plus it has self-lubricating properties to prevent issues that can arise from grit salt on the winter roads corroding the fine threads in alloy nipples. As well as the standard square body we chose nipples with a hex head so you can achieve precise tensioning.</i>

<h1>Bearings</h1><i>Bearings are the heart of any wheel and investing in them makes huge sense so we went to Japanese bearing experts EZO and invested extra to spec their high-grade precision sealed cartridge bearings in our full range.</i>

<h1>Freehub Body</h1><i>Durability is a theme for HUNT, as time and money you spend fixing is time and money you cannot spend riding or upgrading your bikes. This is especially important for a 4 Season bike you use regularly in harsh conditions. As a result, the freehub features our H_CERAMIK coating to provide excellent durability against cassette sprocket damage often seen on standard alloy freehub bodies.</i>

<h1>Spokes</h1><i>We chose the top-of-the-range Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement PSR XTRA models. These butted blade aero spokes are lighter and provide a greater degree of elasticity to maintain tensions and add fatigue resistance. These PSR J-bend spokes feature the 2.2 width at the spoke head providing more material in this high stress area. The nipples come with a square head so you can achieve precise tensioning. Combining these components well is key which is why all Hunt wheels are hand-built.</i>

<h1>Weight</h1><i>The consequence of the fanatic attention to detail is incredible durability and a resulting low 1594g gram wheelset weight. Acceleration and climbing are massively improved over many of the stock wheels supplied on road/gravel/CX disc brake bikes.</i>

<h1>Tyres</h1><i>At HUNT, we enjoy the puncture resistance and grip benefits of tubeless on our every-day rides so we wanted to allow our customers the same option. Of course, all of our tubeless-ready wheels are designed to work perfectly with clincher tyres and inner tubes too.</i>

<h1>Adaptability</h1><i>Our wheels are seriously future-proof. The opportunity to open up your riding comes from bikes which have geometry designed to ride excellently with both 700c or 27.5" (650b) wheels. This combination works thanks to the extra volume in a 2" x 27.5" tire, providing an almost identical external tire diameter to a normal road sized 700c wheel with a 33mm tire, leaving the bike geo unchanged. What was needed was a bike that could accommodate the extra tire width, while still running road groupsets, geo and components. That is exactly what Mason have created, and perfected with their incredible eye-for-detail.

These wheels are available with all existing disc brake road bike axle adapter sizes. All our axle adapters are easy to swap but we'll fit the adapters your bike needs to save you the work. After your order checkout is completed a simple form will show, as well as being sent to you in your confirmation email. The form allows you to select the axle size your bike needs, don't worry it also includes the option to tell us your bike model and we will find out and then fit the correct axles, plus we're happy to change them later at our cost if you don't quite get it right. All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 115kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 105Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use minimum 30mm tires at max 70psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset. We are cyclists ourselves and do of course go above and beyond to offer excellent service if you ever do experience any issues. We carry full spares at very reasonable prices and offer complete support.

The Schwalbe Tubeless tires consistently win plaudits from journalists and customers alike. We have been testing them for a long time and have been very impressed. The G-One's are Schwalbe's brand new gravel tire, designed to offer a low rolling resistance yet offer plenty of grip on gravel and dirt tracks.

WTB Byway TCS Tubeless Tires 650B X 47mm

The Byway Road Plus tire brings supple plus-size traction and smooth riding characteristics even further into the dirt track. A smooth centerline and intermediate, diamon-shaped peaks provide great traction under power, while the more substantial side knobs protect the tire from rocks or gashes.

WTB Horizon Tubeless Tires - 650B x 47mm

The Horizon Road Plus tire brings supple plus-size traction and smooth riding characteristics beyond where the pavement ends. A smooth centerline and all-weather herringbone pattern with cornering channels make anything possible.
