<h1>Rims</h1><i>The Enduro Wide rim includes details which are high on the durability factor to make sure you finish every ride or stage. The 6069-T6 (+69% tensile strength vs 6061-T6) welded rim sticks with the wider-is-better mantra with an internal 33.4mm (internal) width. Optimized for 2.35"-2.6" tyres, the EnduroWide rim provides support to the tyre during hard cornering or hucking off that step-down you've been eying off for a few months!</i>

<h1>Weight</h1><i>Mountain bikers aren't concerned about weight, right? Nope! Whether you're doing a back-country epic or pedalling between stages, we have paid attention to weight to suit the type of riding they will be subjected too. For example, using the highest specification Pillar triple butted spokes with PSR (Pillar Spoke Re-enforcement) has allowed us to not only create a stronger wheel with a higher spoke count, but one which does not add a weight penalty.</i>

<h1>Spokes</h1><i>We have chosen top of the line, triple butted Pillar Spokes with increased reinforcement at the spoke head. Not only are these spokes extremely lightweight, they are also able to provide a greater degree of elasticity when put under increased stress. The Pillar Spoke Reinforcement (PSR) puts more material at the spoke head, just before the J-Bend to prevent failure in this stress area.</i>

<h1>Rear Hub</h1><i>The demands of modern day Enduro riding are tougher than ever before. The EnduroWide hubs have been chosen to increase stiffness, bearing durability and overall strength of your wheelset. On the rear, the Hunt RapidEngage MTB hubs with a superfast 3 degree engagement, means you will be able to put the power down straight out of the corners.</i>

<h1>Front Hub</h1><i>We have gone all out on the front hub and beefed it up over our XCWide and TrailWide wheelsets. Featuring an oversized shell to accommodate larger and extremely durable bearings and 7075-T6 series alloy axles to increase stiffness. These hubs have been selected based on their ability to perform on the most aggressive trails.</i>

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh rolling-drum fatigue tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 120kgs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 110Kgs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tires at max 40psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.

Schwalbe Magic Mary and Hans Dampf Snake Skin Tubeless Tyres

There is not very much to say about the Schwalbe Magic Mary. It is one of our favourite tires for the most aggressive riding out there. Striking a great balance between speed and grip it is a great option for almost any track out there. The high-volume casing offers maximum braking traction and cornering grip, even in extremely muddy train thanks to the strong shoulder studs and aggressive, open tread design. Ride in dryer conditions? We find that the Magic Mary is perfect for finding traction where other options are simply left behind.

The Hans Dampf is one of the most balanced tires out there. Providing superior control on rough terrain as well as amazing grip in flowy singletrack, the Hans Dampf is the best kind of all-rounder. The high-volume casing offers maximum braking traction and cornering grip for when the trail becomes aggressive. But when gravity stops working its magic, the Hans Dampf will not leave you behind. The continuous tread pattern is closely spaced meaning that this tire tracks well and has a lower rolling resistance over more aggressive options.

Choose this tire combo for loose to wet conditions with your EnduroWide wheels. It’s a great option if you want an aggressive, all round option knowing it has your back for most conditions.

Maxxis Minion DHF and High Roller II Tubeless Tyres Combo

Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" WT EXO Front / Maxxis High Roller II 2.5" WT EXO Rear

The Minion DHF is an all-round favorite tire for aggressive riding. We have chosen to spec this tire for your most aggressive riding needs – be it in the bike park or slamming through your local rut track. A favorite amongst the most aggressive riders, the DHF tacks it all in its stride. The relatively continuous, ramped centre knobs for low-rolling resistance mean this is a fast tire going up and down the hill. The channel cut knobs give straight-line control and precise cornering when tipping it in. The WT casing has been specifically designed for the new breed of wide rims featured in the Hunt line up.

If you have been riding a trail/enduro bike chances are your go to tire is the Maxxis High Roller II. An iconic tire chosen by riders due to its ability to perform in most conditions, it is one to reach for when you’re wanting a tire you know will won’t having you second guessing yourself. The open and aggressive tread design gives the High Roller II excellent soil penetration and mud clearing ability. The High Roller II provides a solid consistent feeling when transitioning from the intermediate to the outmost knobs when cornering. The centre knobs provide great traction when braking and giving oodles of traction when the trails demand it.

Choose this tire to be matched with your EnduroWide wheels for loose/loose-over-hard-pack conditions to wet conditions where an intermediate/wet tire will be overkill.
